Modify the Source Code

To use this suite of programs it is necessary to customise it to refer to URLs and paths specific to your website and server.

There are three types of modifications to be performed

The first is to replace all page URLs containing the string yourWebsiteDotCom with your website url

The second is to replace all email addresses which include the string _yourWebsiteDotCom with the appropriate email address

The third is to replace the string pathToYourWebspace in the use statements use lib "/pathToYourWebspace/cgi-bin/gnu";

Additionally replace the string pathToYourWebspace in the string $self->{FILE_ACCESS_ROOT} = "/pathToYourWebspace/cgi-bin/gnu/"; in file PageFormatterTemplate.pm

Installing the software into correct directories

The programs are designed to work on a Unix/Linux server.

The folder/directory gnu goes into cgi-bin.

The folder/directories gnuCss and gnuCodeInHtml and gnuPictures go into your top directory (i.e. the directory addressed by http://mysite.com ).

Read the downloaded ReadMe document.
