This painting of the Star of Bethlehem continues my present preoccupation with the representation of space whilst retaining local colour. In this I have been marginally successfull in a manner akin to that of my picture of a fallen rock at Dunree Fort.

The colour of the flowerheads has not reproduced well: they are less blue - more violet and the whole picture is lighter and more pastelly than in this reproduction. This was scanned in - not photographed so I am asuming these colours are the best I can get on my system.
