This is Castle Gate in Derry (Londonderry), Northern Ireland, with Kate's Bar on the left. The name of the bar has now reverted to what it has always been: the Castle Bar. Most nights there is live music, often traditional diddly-dee. The green shop-front through the gate belongs to a barber's shop. At the end of the street is the Richmond Shopping Centre.
