Valencian landscape with flying spaghetti monster and pirates saving the world from global warming, November 2005, pen and ink enhanced with crayon and watercolour, 20 x 29.6 cm
The flying spaghetti monster looks on as pirates act to save the world from global warming. I have been looking at Dali and decided to learn from him. An important thing is to paint things that have meaning. My titles have got longer because abstract ideas such as global warming cannot be easily represented in images. The picture takes on the role of an illustration which enables us to meditate on that which it illustrates. The flying spaghetti monster in my pictures has only the power to modify the results of measuring equipment and to turn people into pirates through a touch of its noodly appendage.
