picture, image, politician as a puppet in a puppet government operated by the super rich and powerful

Puppet politician, e.g. Tony Blair or George Bush operated by the super rich and powerful, November 2005, pen and ink enhanced with crayon and watercolour, 14 x 21 cm

The flying spaghetti monster does not feature in this picture because my main concern here was to establish images to represent out puppet politicians and the super rich and powerful who control them. This picture is a sketch for part of the picture: the citadel of the super rich and powerful.

There is little doubt in my mind that our political parties, and hence our governments - I'm thinking primarily of the United Kingdom and the United States, are deeply indebted to and in the thrall of those who pay their election expenses (also see here and here and here) and control the media (Also see here and here). These are the super rich and powerful, both individuals and massive corporations. (Also see here and here). It seems to me that they have no interest whatever in the welfare of ordinary people or of the planet. All that interests them is the protection of and extension of their presonal wealth and power.

It took me a bit of time to come up with a suitable representation of both the super rich and of the puppet politician. The next picture is of my first attempt.

first attempt at portraying politician as a puppet in a puppet government operated by the super rich and powerful

First attempt at portraying puppet politician, e.g. Tony Blair or George Bush operated by the super rich and powerful, here their citadel is being attacked by laughing pirates observed by flying spaghetti monster, November 2005, pen and ink enhanced with crayon and watercolour, 14 x 21 cm

I was unhappy with both the portrayal of the super rich and of the puppets. The puppets were too ... ordinary and insufficiently iconic - too many strings.

Here are the first views of the improved puppet and super rich.
